Garden Walk
Saturday, July 12, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.: The University of Illinois Extension DeKalb County Master Gardeners will present the Annual Garden Walk and Plant Sale (formerly Barb City Manor Garden Walk). The event is in its 17th year and this year will benefit the Master Gardener programs in DeKalb County.

July 17-20, July 24-27, July 31-Aug. 1: The NIU Convocation Center will host Jehovah Witness events.

“Let’s Dan ce” Big Band Weekend
Friday-Sunday, July 18-20:
Just Make It Happen has announced the Third Annual “Let’s Dan ce” Big Band Weekend July 18- 20. It will feature three bands, ballroom lessons, shoe workshop, family dance, package deals, bargain pricing, listening only, table reservations, great food and fun. This is a great opportunity to use the event as an office dance party, fitness club night out, service group project or family outing. Veterans’ Weekend
July 25-27:
The DeKalb County Forty and Eight is coordinating the first-ever Veterans Weekend July 25-27, at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport. The DeKalb County Veterans Assistance Commission is supporting the plans. All veterans and non-veterans interested in helping make this Veterans’ Weekend a success are encouraged to attend the meeting. Local veterans’ organizations will be asked to help sponsor the event.
